FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Do I need to buy a standard size door?
No, we will make any size door you want just give us the size of your opening and we will make the door to work for you.
- Which is better for me a Plexiglass or Polycarbonate?
If your door goes on a Retail Greenhouse, Plexiglass is nice because it lets your customers view your product from inside or outside of your greenhouse. Also looks very attractive when you can see inside of your greenhouse full of plants.
Polycarbonate is good for growing houses, where there is no need to see through your door. Polycarbonate is a little more durable and may have a little more insulation value. Both Plexiglass and Polycarbonate will let full sunlight through.
- Can I have Plexiglass on the top half and Polycarbonate on the bottom half?
Yes, this is a good idea, if you want to view both ways and to save a little money on the door. By putting Polycarbonate on the bottom half of your door it will give you more durability if it will be used in a high traffic area.
- Do you put Plexiglass down to the bottom of the door on a Door with all Plexiglass?
No, we put a 12” Aluminum Kick plate on the bottom of the door to protect the glass when sweeping or cleaning floors
- What if I want to put a pre-hung door on an existing building or Greenhouse where we will not be using Polycarbonate or the building, does door jam frame still come with Polycarbonate receiver molder on exterior jam?
No, just let us know if Polycarbonate receiver is not needed and we will give you a door jam frame without one.
- Which one is right for me Steel or Aluminum?
Aluminum gives a more attractive look and will never rust, ideal for Retail or Growing Houses. Steel may have a little more strength and is also good for any situation.
- How are your Doors Manufactured?
All of our door frames are welded together for maxium Strength. So you don’t have to worry about the screws working loose, that the door will start to loose its strength.
- How hard is it to change the Plexiglass or Polycarbonate if one gets damaged?
It is very easy all you need to do is drill out a few pop rivets, holding the extrusion in, pull out the panel and install the new extrusion and put back in place and replace pop rivets.
